Mohamed Yammai is from the Maldives and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Project Management) program at the International University of Malaya-Wales in Malaysia. He completed his Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honors in Business Administration from UCSI University, Malaysia in 2011. He obtained his Master of Science (Project Management) degree from Curtin University Sarawak Malaysia in 2015. Yammai has over 10 years of experience working for the Government of the Maldives. For most of his career, he worked as the local counterpart for various International Development (ID) projects implemented in the Maldives. Prior to joining the doctoral degree, he worked at the Ministry of Finance as the Project Coordinator for the Maldives: Public Financial Management Systems Strengthening Project funded by the World Bank. His research interests include critical success factors and project success in ID projects with a specific focus on the Maldives.
